Remember I made Cinnamon rolls in my previous post? I usually buy 1kg flour but I purposely bought 2kg flour because I know I'm going to bake a lot in this holiday. And the clever me bought 'Self-raising flour' instead of 'Plain flour'. I bought it under a rush condition, friends were all waiting for me outside the supermarket. 

Therefore, I look for recipes that uses self-raising flour. And I found Scones recipe. Plain scone recipe. It's very very easy and takes little time too. The recipe I found makes 24 scones. For my first try, I half it to be safe. You'll never know what will happen.

These are the ingredients for the plain scone recipe. Pretty basic stuff :) And oh! I'm going to put some chocolate chips into some of the scones later. 

After making the dough, it's time to shape the scones, I don't have cutter so I search my whole kitchen for an appropriate shape for my scones and guess what I used to shape it, A Vegemite cover, which belongs to my floor-mate ( I don't know who, but not to worry, I cleaned it already *winks*) 

Bake for 18-20 minutes and it's done. That's pretty simple isn't it. Rmbr it's plain scones so it's pretty much TASTELESS.  Eat it with jam would help :) Thank god I add some chocolate chips in some scones. At least there's chocolate taste to it. IF I were to make again, I'll add more sugar into the recipe for a sweeter bread. Just so u know, the original recipe requires only 15g sugar, and rmbr, I half it, so it's only 7g sugar( which I converted it into half tablespoon of sugar) 

Original recipe yields 24. Half of it would be 12. But then I made mini scones and end up with 26 mini scones. HAHA. Next target: mini pretzel bites! =D

Had the nicest dinner ever. Korean soup, Bu Dae Chi Gae, which is basically an army stew where there's alot of different food thrown into the pot.  

Here are all the ingredients

There's sausages, mushrooms, onion, ham and there's potatoes and carrots boiling away in the pan. basically it's an CHAPALANG soup. But it taste so good, really. 

Yes, this is how the soup looks like.. They have shin ramen noodles with kim chi on it and top it with cheese. Look yummeh right! are you guys drooling? =D

I still can't get over this soup! I loved it! Cook more korean food for me Alison! and I'll bake for you. win-win situation. =)

The night doesn't end here. it's my turn now. I made cinnamon rolls just now. WUHOOO! Baking rocks my life!

WHEEE U know what time I baked these? 2am! LOL! Yes I'm crazy but so what.. I'm on holiday and I do what I want =D Baking session could release stress ya know, not that I have one anyway. But yes, baking makes me feel happy :)

Guess what's inside

It's for my HK friend. She regretted for not buying this showbag. She was either taking this or the spongebob bag. And she got the spongebob one. So Alison and me bought this for her. She have no idea that we bought this. =D Her birthday is on October though. *long time to go*

As you can see, there's 2 sets of pencil cases, 2 comic books, a keychain hanging at the side, a yoyo, a deck of simpson cards, a pinball board AND A DARTBOARD. Cool ain't it. Everything for $25. Everything is sorta in the bag except for the dartboard, we have to choose one out of a few items. There's mini ice hockey table, mini snooker table, a bowling set, simpson plushies (which looks horrendous, seriously) , a clock and of course a dart board. :)) 

We have no idea what my friend likes. Alison overheard her mentioning about dart board so we go for it.  And how u ask me we get this present when we're going out together.. I asked my friend to get it for me cos she went to the Royal Melbourne Show the next day I went. =D and now let's just hope my HK friend likes it.

Yes, again for daytrip. I went there again but this time with different people. It's an all-Malaysian-girls roadtrip. Rented a car, Hyundai i30. I have no idea whether the car's good. Reviews? Started our journey from 7.30am till 12am. Basically it's more than 12 hours..17 hours of traveling. All of us literally died at the end of the day, exhausted really. But on the bright side, it was a fun trip despite the sucky weather, well for me, it is. If the weather's better then it will be perfecto. 

The Enchanted Maze was our first stop. They have theme gardens, topiary & sculptural creations. What attracts me is the Brain Teaser Challenge. Imagine 5 girls who loves taking pictures in this place, imagine the time spent, we were there for about 2.5hours. O_O

Time for lunch and head to Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm. Desserts for lunch is not something usual but we couldn't care much. This place is a must try here in Mornington! We ordered 4 desserts and 1 butternut pumpkin soup. Let me hear you say, Strawberry Haven! 

SITOBELIS anyone? 

After devour the sitobelis, we head to the next maze which is The Boneo maze & Wetlands. It's rather disappointing, the mazes were full of tiny insects and the ground is wet, not muddy(thankgod). The only thing fun there is the giant board games. They have Chess set, Connect Four, Snake and Ladder and many more.

We had only Peninsula Hot Springs for our last stop but before that we drove around the area for sightseeing. We stop by the Mornington Peninsula Surf Beach and it's was beautiful. Also, freezing! Strong winds and cold weather, not a very nice place to be. I can't imagine how those surfers survive in the cold water! 

Finally, we head to the Peninsula Hot Spring for some relaxation. It was so good after all the traveling. One thing though, the sulfur smell is too overwhelming. Soaking in the hot springs in the cold weather is GOOOOOOD. 

I want to do a roadtrip like this again next time but of course pray for good weather! Next trip we should head to Mt. Dandenong!

You all know chingy was in melbourne before she transit to Canberra. I was a little late when I go the airport to see chingy and her friends. XD Should've taken the earlier bus. We all decided to go melbourne city since we have few hours to spend before chingy fly. It was FREEZING COLD THAT MORNING!

I had this for breakfast. Egg Benedict. I don't really like the Hollandaise sauce. It taste weird with the egg. Didn't really enjoy my breakfast. blah.

Ah ching being camera shy. Ceiks. TOLD YA TO SPEND A FEW DAYS HERE BEFORE GOING CANBERRA! roarrrr... you can stay with me ma :( But nvm, we shall meet again end of this year. and maybe go back malaysia together. heh heh. *hopefully*

I had my very first roadtrip few days ago. We rented a car and drove to mornington, my friends drove of course. It was just a 1 day trip. The weather was very cold that morning and it was damn windy! Early in the morning, cold weather, strong wind= FREEZING.

Next, we went to ashcombe maze & lavender garden. Weather was not very good at that time as it was drizzling the whole afternoon. Spoils the mood really. Camera was a lil wet and foggy due the cold weather. *my poor poor camera =( * 

We visited Cape Schanck Lighthouse, Portsea and we even went to Peninsula Hot Spring! What a nice way to end the day. In a nutshell, the trip was good despite the weather. If I could, I would go there again end of the year to visit Sorrento for the strawberries! wuhooooo!

4 down, 1 more to go. One more and that's it. DONE and I finished my bachelor's degree. Man, time flies. Let's just hope that I pass everything =S. Had my fingers crossed. 

I need my sleep. I need to do my laundry. I need to do groceries. I need to find out about my further plans for studies. I need to lose weight!  gain so much during exam period. =S *NOT GOOD!

I want to travel outside Melbourne. Plan to go on a roadtrip with my another friend. Just the 2 of us so far. We plan to rent a car and drive ourselves. =D Hopefully everything goes well.  

I want to bake stuff!! yes, I've been planning to make chocolate mousse cake or maybe baked cheesecake and cupcakes too! Oh maybe some apple puffs as well. man that's so many things. I love to bake bake bake. *lovesloves*

On another note, CHIA IM VERY VERY VERY EXCITED FOR YOU!  I  feel so so happpppyyyy =D You're going to be a mother soon. Ahhhh.. Words can't describe how I feel now. Take good good care of yourself. Can't wait to go back and see yap junior! :D

Actually I failed. I don't have muffin trays and that's the reason they went out of shape. But hey it's all about the taste! who cares~ Anyway, I made this for Alison as her birthday present. Made them today. Quite satisfied with the result. Could've been better if it's 'round'. Too much icing though but this is my first time doing so I want to play decorate it with more icings!

Last Friday, we had a small gathering for Minyi and Faezah's birthday. Both May babies. We had pot luck for dinner that day. Lotsa food, but too bad I didn't take any except for desserts. =D Since it's a potluck dinner, I made apple pie. hahaha. 

Nutella Cheesecake! made by Minyi herself. It's a nonbake cheesecake btw. Too little nutella, minyi =(. Shud've add more! next time kay! 

ohh! this is unrelated. Sheng jia cooked 'COKE CHICKEN' the other day, couldn't remember when. I rmbr watching tvb and those ppl cook 'coke chicken'. Finally I got the chance to taste it. It's was good. Easy to make too! haha

Just had a F4 Moment. HAAHAHAHAHA

Min Yi, my sg friend, asked me out on a meteor date. :) Together with Hiap Lai and Medion. Lai drove us to Mt. Cooper. The night sky was full of stars! IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. Chia, you will LOVE it. We lie down on the concrete floor, chating and singing away..hahaaha. It was 1something in the morning. People must think that we're NUTS! But there's no one else except the 4 of us. 

There will be more meteors in the coming days. But last night (22/4) had the most meteors. I might go again later tonight. Who knows. XD I saw 3 meteors in total. And Hiap lai saw 4. The last meteor I saw was very funny! Me and MinYi were not satisfied cos we both only saw 2 at that time. The 4 of us were chating away with me and minyi lying down and the guys standing up. Hiap Lai was talking, so me and Min Yi looked up at his direction and GUESS WHAT! 

WE BOTH SAW A METEOR BETWEEN HIAP LAI'S AND MEDION'S HEAD! Both of us were laughing and screaming loudly! It was hilarious! who could've thought that you could see a meteor between their heads. CLASSIC MOMENT! You could probably tell that I'm still excited..HuaHuaHua. I'm a happy happy girl though I didn't make any wish. Was too excited to make one anyway. hahahaha I'm going to bed now! NIGHTS PEOPLE!

Hot Air Balloon

I want to ride in a hot air balloon! Watching the sunrise in the hot air balloon is so nice. If I have the chance, I would LOVE to go up on that ride. :D Nice experience. Beautiful scenery. Heh Heh. And I'm pretty sure I'll spend big bucks on this ride. But oh well, I'm just saying.

The draft timetable for final exam is already out. And I got shit timetable this time. Starting from 15 and ending on the 24th. 

15th, 17th, 21st, 22nd, 24th.

Tell me now, shit or no shit. The last 3 papers is killing me. 3 papers in 4 days. Got to plan my study timetable asap and start revising as this is my last semester here in Latrobe. GOD HELP ME!

HAD AN AWESOME NIGHT YTD! Lady gaga's concert ROCKSSS! Though I waited for like more than 1 hour. The special guest, no comment, not my type of music I'd say. They're a band from New York, Semi Precious Weapons. 

Best song of the night was Bad Romance! and it's the last song of the night. Everybody got up and singing with her. It was a very very 'HIGH' moment! Really the best song of the night. Thank god I downloaded some of her other songs few weeks ago. And I just start listening to it. ahaahha Or else, I only know a few songs from her concert. Dance in the dark, Alejandro, Speechless, Monster, Beautiful Dirty Rich are very new to me. And guess what, I listened to all these songs in the morning b4 i go out to city for the concert. AHAHHAHA

And of cos, she performed Pokerface, Love Game, Just Dance, Paparazzi and BAD ROMANCE! wuhoo! She didn't performed Eh Eh (nothing else I can say) though. Her outfits was wow. Very lady gaga. XD Overall, It's a very very nice concert. The best one I've been to so far. I have alot pictures to edit before I uploaded it to FB. So, for now, I shall give u guys a sneak preview. :)

Easter Break is approaching, 1 week break. I'm excited! why? I'm going to watch Lady Gaga this 9th April. wuhoo! But then, I have a presentation coming up right after the break. :( Sucks weh

Anyhoo, I went city last week. Passed by Union Lane,  the canvas for the City of Melbourne's Street Art Project. The graffiti there is very nice. :) Love the colours.

I always passed by this lane, but I never stop by and take photos, not until last sunday. XD Melbourne's weather is getting cold now. This is what I call autumn. It felt like I'm in malaysia for the past month when it's suppose to autumn. *tsktsk* 

Easter break is coming which means there will be lotsa pictures taken. hahahha and makan too. I'll gain weight during this break for sure. Gah! Alrighty, stop here for now.

No, not Melbourne. This time it's in Perth. The hailstones there are not big as the one on Melbourne. It almost felt like 2012 is really happening. haha. Anyhoo, sorry for not updating often. Many stuffs happened for the past week.

And recently, I got a bad sore throat. My voice is really really bad now. my voice is now very manly. I really scared ppl talk to me cos I really dont want to talk to them with my voice like this. My sister asked me to record myself singing with this voice -_________- Didnt drink enough water when my sister's here. And now i got sore throat, she got ulcer. AHAHHAHA.

I bought cough syrup and this. Throat Spray. LMAO. 

GAH. when will my voice be okay? It's been 3 days now! T.T

I bet you people already know what happened here in Melbourne yesterday. I bought the papers today and it said it's the worst storm ever in 40 years. It was a scary yet fun experience really.

I was at the Moomba Festival with my friends. Dark clouds all over city sky and then raindrops starts falling bit by bit and the raindrops became hailstones. Seriously, it was scary at the time. We just stood in front of the game stall and use our bags to cover our faces. Then later 3 of us ran over to another stall with a little roof and just stood there while another 3 of my friends hid under the table at the 1st stall. We were called to go behind where all the toys are placed under the bridge. There were many people hiding there and we all held the waterproof plastic up.

I got hit on the head, hands, legs, back, everywhere basically. Not my face though. hahaha. And I was wearing lady sandals. We were all standing in the icy cold water. I could not feel my feet, really. My other 3 friends soon later joined us and suggested that we ran to get a better place to hide since we're all wet. And yea, we ran, in the ice cold water. We ran all the way to Federation Square and I was shocked to see small part of the ceiling came off and landed on the book stalls below. But thank god nobody was hurt.

Man it was crazy I tell you! But then, like I said, nice experience :) But I don't want it to happen again. Look at all the damages! I got a few bruises and so do my friends. One of my friend's leg was bleeding, not too serious though. He was wearing jeans and he still bleed! The size of the hailstone is no joke, golf ball size! But it was bigger in some other places, tennis ball size. Can you imagine how scary it was!

Look at the size of that thing, this is consider medium size already. There are bigger ones.

They even did so much damage on cars.

Parts of the city roads were flooded. Mad I tell you.

Thank god I'm okay. Nothing happen to us. I tried calling home but couldn't get through. Only my sister though. AHAHA.

The weather is going to be pretty bad these few days. It rained very heavy this evening and one of tower in my hostel flooded. Not very serious one. Alarms everywhere. @.@ Totally chaos!
